Based on the 2011 bestselling novel by Perrotta, The Leftovers is seen primarily through the eyes of police chief Kevin Garvey, played by Justin Theroux, as he experiences life post ―the Departure.‖ After what can only be explained as an instance similar to the biblical rapture, the people of Mapleton, New York, are suddenly shaken to their core as many of their loved ones disappear into thin air. With roughly 140 million people actively missing — 2% of the world’s population — the world starts to question everyone and everything. I have yet to see it, i dont have the premium channels, so no fave character yet, but i'd love to have one. I'd love to see this.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character on The Leftovers is Kevin. Not just because he's played by Justin Theroux but also because he's got such depth - though many of the characters on this show do. Generally I'm a sucker for the main character in any tv show considering that's who we seem to spend the most time with, though the new season starts to be veering from that.
ReplyDeleteWatching Kevin struggle to put his family back together last year on TV was, despite how strange it sounds, one of my favorite parts of the summer.
